Moona Moono: Unique Coffee, Creative Goods & Cozy Vibes in Minneapolis

Hands down the BEST coffee I’ve had. I am not much of a coffee drinker so I wasn’t sure what I would like. The Barista (Gabby) listened to what we liked and disliked out of coffee and boba and she recommended two amazing drinks. I never thought I’d like a drink with maple in it, but hands down the best! I truly enjoyed the full experience. From the ordering process, recommendations to drinking the drinks! Thank you SO much for the great experience. We will be back and will recommend when given the chance!

Thoughtfully designed interior with a curated selection of Japanese and Korean stationery, ceramics, skincare, etc. The cafe was a bit slow so I recommend ordering first and browsing the store while you wait. There is plenty of seating available. Matcha donut - fantastic! Perfect texture. Black sesame latte - wish the black sesame flavor was more pronounced. Overall a great addition to Uptown!

I love everything about this place! The interior is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Their home goods and Kawaii items are amazing. I loved my matcha donut and black sesame latte. So, so good!!

Gabby saves the date! After leaving mosaic coffee next door being made to feel stupid about not know what to order for someone who doesn’t drink a lot of coffee. My partner and I went next door because I was definitely still thirsty after leaving there empty handed. I was a little more anxious about ordering at Moona because I know even less about boba tea, but I had one before and it was great. Only that was ordered for me. I get up to the register and start my awkward inquires on making a good boba tea for myself while hoping for something close to perfect to what I imagine it to taste like. Gabby responded to all our questions and made perfect recommendations. And what a Boone to have found “the best coffee” my future wife has ever had!! Became even an even better experience sitting next to the owner and having a pleasant conversation. This had to be a fateful experience because I even found STONE PAPER!!!! It’s been at least 10 years since I’ve gotten my hands on the best writing paper I’ve ever drawn ink to. What a dream… Thank you Gabby for saving my date. This is going on the list of favorite spots. We’re both are creatures of habit and only like to go to places we know we like. So we will be back.

I knew before even coming I'd love it here, but the fact I got to bring my dog, & that she got such a warm welcome from so many @ Moona really took it over the top. The owner insisted she get a pup cup. Along with that, I was blown away by the owner's creativity in the beauty of the merchandise she's curated. I failed to get photos, but she had such totally unique, cool, gorgeous, quality things available, that I hadn't seen anywhere else (from small businesses). I especially loved her obvious appreciation for artistic & creative expression - there were several fantastic books and so many beautiful supplies available to encourage this. It was so energizing, even just looking through it. I can't wait to actually come back and get something next time. What a gift, to have a space like this added to our community.

This place is a super cute new place that has a fun shop inside carrying a variety of items! There were quite a few out of stock items; just empty boxes of items they did have. It is also a tea/coffee shop that serves some donuts and pastries as well! I liked the concept a lot! They had a few Asian inspired items which was really fun! There was plenty of seating and the whole place was quite spacious. I ordered the hot lavender matcha. It was ok. There wasn’t much lavender, mainly matcha. The matcha had a good flavor, I just wanted a little more lavender forward flavor.

If you like boba and cute things then this is the place for you. It’s also a quiet place to enjoy a snack or catchup with friends. They do have matcha, you betcha! There’s so much to look at that it’s worth the trip! Parking is a challenge and they only had one counter person at the food station taking orders and preparing them so be patient.
